1970 Super Bowl IV Trophy Presented to Hall of Famer Curley Culp. Despite the American Football League's New York Jets shocking Super Bowl III victory the previous season, many sports writers and fans persisted in the belief that the National Football League was far superior to the AFL. The Minnesota Vikings entered Super Bowl IV as a thirteen-point favorite to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, but the AFL prevailed once again, and in dominant fashion, as the Chiefs defeated Minnesota twenty-three to seven.

Presented here is Hall of Fame defensive tackle Curley Culp's personal Super Bowl IV trophy that he was given for his contributions in the Chiefs' convincing victory at New Orleans' Tulane Stadium. Standing at an impressive 18" in height, the stunning showpiece is one of the earliest presentation pieces from the Big Game's history, and the only Super Bowl IV player's trophy from a Canton enshrinee ever offered at auction.

Exhibiting minimal wear throughout, it is engraved "World Professional Football Championship, Curley Culp," and it is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from the six-time Pro Bowler.
