Description

1966 Fritz Pollard Signed Document. The first African American head coach in the National Football League, Fritz Pollard along with Bobby Marshall were also the first two African American players in the NFL in 1920. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005, Pollard was referred to as "one of the greatest runners these eyes have ever seen", by gridiron pioneer Walter Camp.

Presented here is a rare document signed by Pollard in Mint ball-point ink. Executed in 1966, the document was issued to give Pollard control of his family's cemetery plot in Illinois. Measuring at 8.5x11", it displays two horizontal mail folds, with no major flaws. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
