Just over six decades after the University of Chicago's Jay Berwanger became the first honoree as college football's top layer, esteemed portrait artist Ted Watts unveiled the extraordinary labor of love featured on the following pages.
A painting of each and every Heisman Trophy winner was unveiled for display at the College Football Hall of Fame in 1996, with Watts continuing his theme beyond that first public showing all the way through Tim Tebow's 2007 season. We are privileged and proud to present that extraordinary series here, each oil on canvas masterpiece measuring 20x16" in size.
