Description
1960s NFL Stars Sprite Bottle Caps, Lot of 15. In the mid-1960's even soda distributors appealed to thirsty collectors by putting their favorite football heroes on the inside of bottle caps. The regionally circulated series from the mid-1960s was sponsored by Coke-Cola for the confectionary kings' "Sprite" brand. Player selection was either Green Bay packers or NFL All-Stars. Included are: Mike Ditka, Paul Hornung, Sonny Jurgensen, Bob Lilly, Ray Nitschke, Starr, Fran Tarkenton, Paul Warfield and Johnny Unitas, among others.
