1959 NFL Championship Game Used Goal Post Piece. A rematch of the storied 1958 NFL Championship Game, the '59 matchup between the New York and Baltimore saw the home team Colts defeat the Giants by a score of 31-16 at Memorial Stadium. Presented here is a large section of metal goal post that was originally obtained from the estate of Fred Schubach, who served as the Colts' equipment manager from 1953 through 1982. Measuring at 9.5" in length and 2.25" in diameter, it has "N.F.L. Championship Game Colts 31 Giants 16" in white paint. Noticeable game wear is exhibited throughout the historic artifact. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
