Description

1957-59 Green Bay Packers Team Signed Autograph Book (52 Signatures) - With Len Ford and 1st Year Vince Lombardi Examples! After all the Green Bay Packers' championships of the 1940's, and before the team's "Glory Days" of the 1960's, the storied franchise hit rock bottom during the early to mid-1950's. However, after building a new stadium in 1957, and then adding many eventual Hall of Famers that same decade, the Packers were transformed from the joke of professional football to the envy of the league. Offered here is one of the most unique and significant representations from what could be considered the turning point of one of the most successful teams in NFL history. This original autograph book contains near-impossible exemplars, such as head coach Vince Lombardi-predecessors Lisle Blackbourn (Packers head coach 1954-57, died 1983 - 10/10 blue ball-point) and the ultra-rare Ray "Scooter" McLean (Packers head coach 1958, died 1964 - 7/10 blue ball-point), in addition to a 9/10 blue ball-point signature from the legendary Lombardi. Signed by a total of 52 members of the Packers, spanning from 1957-59, the following notables are displayed: Len Ford (rare HOFer, died 1972 - 10/10 blue ball-point), Max McGee, Bart Starr, Fred Thurston, Dave Hanner, Gary Knafelc, Hank Gremminger, Babe Parilli and others. Even the most discerning Packers signature collectors will fill voids with this one-of-a-kind treasure. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
