1951 George Preston Marshall Signed Letter. A flamboyant showman in the vein of baseball's Bill Veeck, Marshall introduced halftime pageants and cheerleaders to the professional game, while establishing his Washington Redskins as the elite franchise of the National Football League. Today he is considered one of the toughest Hall of Fame autographs, so we're pleased to present this top specimen featuring a 10/10 blue ink closing signature to a typed letter on Redskins letterhead. Fine content relates the potential addition of a Buffalo franchise to the NFL. The single page exhibits original mailing folds and small tears at the punch holes, but no other condition issues of note. A top-quality TLS. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
