    1939 David O'Brien and Bert Bell Signed Check. Notable Philadelphia Eagles first round draft pick out of Texas Christian, quarterback Davey O'Brien led his Horned Frogs squad to a memorable 1938 undefeated season, when he was awarded the Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Award and the prestigious Heisman Trophy.

    Offered here is a rare Philadelphia Eagles payroll check issued to O'Brien during his first year in the NFL, and it has been endorsed on the front by team co-founder Bert Bell. Signed by Bell in Mint black ink, it has also been signed by O'Brien and again by Bell on the back in the same quality black ink.

    Measuring at 3x8", the check has a vertical fold through the center, and it has been slabbed as "Authentic" by James Spence Authentication/BGS. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Encapsulated by James Spence Authentication/BGS.
