1928 Knute Rockne Signed Letter. The legendary Notre Dame head coach Knute Rockne sent this letter to a beloved fan in thanks for his kind words after a gridiron contest in November of 1928. One of the most important signatures in the hobby, Rockne scribed his closing "K.K. Rockne" in flawless fountain pen, and short of original mailing folds, the "Knute K.
