1926 Rose Bowl Program - The Game That Changed the South. The sports memorabilia hobby was taken by storm after Heritage Auctions' sold a 1926 Rose Bowl program for the earth-shattering price of $11,950 in its 2010 November Signature Auction, and two years later we have another historic example available to the highest bidder. In the contest that is commonly referred to as "the game that changed the south," Alabama only needed the third quarter, which consisted of all 20 of the Crimson Tide's points, to defeat the Washington Huskies in the 1926 Rose Bowl. Unquestionably, one of the most significant games in Alabama history, 55,000 fans packed Pasadena's Rose Bowl to watch the two undefeated teams square off, and this VG memento represents that special game in fully intact and complete flare. No rips, tears or excess writing can be seen in this Hall of Fame-caliber treasure.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
