    Description

1922-23 Joe Carr Signed Elks Club Pass from "The Joe Carr Find." Joe Carr has become an almost forgotten figure in NFL history. While Jim Thorpe was the league's first President, it was Carr who took the position and helped professional football gain traction into the success it is today. Carr transformed the sport from a town game into a big city, and business, phenomenon. Before Carr took the National Football League to unprecedented heights, he was a newspaper man. That is where Carr learned the skill of promotion.

We are proud to present Carr's Elks club card (4x2.75") which he used for admission. Carr signed the name slot in 9/10 blue ink. Also worth special mention is the full name "Joseph F. Carr" version of his rare signature. The offering was removed from the Carr family scrapbook, which was assembled by his sister, and has paper remnants on the reverse. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
