1921 Knute Rockne Signed Letter on Personal Stationery with Rose Bowl Mention. Knute Rockne kept in close contact with Stan Cofall through the years. Cofall starred on the gridiron for Rockne and the Fighting Irish. Following gradation in 1917, Cofall began a coaching career of his own. This letter from Rockne to Cofall talks about a prospective athlete. But the final paragraph takes top billing. Rockne had the following typed: "If you have any chance to talk us up for Pasadena Tournament of the Roses game why do so in a loud voice as we certainly wou,d (sic) like to play out there New Years. I trust you will soon be on this way. With every good wish." Rockne then signed "Rock" in 8/10 black fountain pen. Vertical and horizontal folds are found. Slight paper loss is visible where the folds meet. We are pleased to report the signature is not compromised. Letter of provenance from Stan Cofall's son. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
