2006 LaDainian Tomlinson Game Worn San Diego Chargers Throwback Helmet - Worn 11/5 vs. Cleveland. In what would prove to be one of the greatest seasons in NFL history for a running back, LaDainian Tomlinson scored an absolutely staggering 19 touchdowns in the span of only six games. In addition, in 2006, LT became the fastest player ever to score 100 touchdowns.Presented here is an extremely rare and desirable Chargers throwback style helmet that the future first ballot Hall of Famer wore during a three-touchdown, 172-yard rushing performance on November 5, 2006 versus the Cleveland Browns, the same season he would also be named the league's Most Valuable Player.
Originally purchased from NFL Auction, the white shell displays its original interior padding and visor on the front, while the all-important No. 21 decals are firmly intact on beach side. The only Tomlinson throwback helmet we have seen come up for auction, this example will surely appreciate in value once he finds his way into the hallowed grounds of Canton, Ohio.
