1980's George Cumby Game Worn Green Bay Packers Helmet. While George Cumby's claim to fame is tied with William "The Refrigerator" Perry, the linebacker helped solidify Green Bay's defense of the early to mid '80's. Cumby wore this helmet during his stay in Titletown. Great linebacker use is shown on the yellow plastic shell. Numerous contact marks appear on the green/white/green stripes. A "52" decal, consistent with other Packer helmets we have seen, and transparent warning sticker are found on the reverse. AF2 gel-filled padding and a "[size] 7 5/8" sticker appear inside. The size is consistent for Cumby as well. We could not find Cumby wearing a yellow facemask, so that may be been added after the fact. Former Lombardi legends Max McGee and Jerry Kramer signed the shell in 9/10 black felt tip. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
