    Description

Early 1930's Leather Helmet Attributed to Green Bay Packers Arnie Herber (Signed by Tony Canadeo). Hall of Fame quarterback Arnie Herber was the leader at quarterback on four NFL Championship teams in the 1930's with the Green Bay Packers. As the league's first great long ball passer, Herber teamed with early Packer greats John "Blood" McNally and Don Hutson, the league's first great wide receiver and deep threat.

Presented here is a leather Wilson helmet that was originally purchased by our consignor's father in the Green Bay from Packer City Antiques, who obtained it from a man named "C.B. Giese", who was friends with Arnie Herber, and who claimed that it was worn by Herber during his time spent with the Packers. Exhibiting great patina and wear throughout, it has the original owner's name written in the interior, as well as "Arnie Herber Original" in ball-point ink. Signed by Packers Hall of Famer Tony Canadeo, it has a "92" painted in yellow on the back. Letter of provenance from John Stary. LOA from Packer City Antiques. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from SGC Authentic. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph).
