    Description

Circa 1971-72 Larry Csonka Game Worn Miami Dolphins Jersey. One of the toughest competitors in sports history, Larry Csonka would regularly break his nose and remain in the game with blood covered all over his face. Probably the only player ever to receive a personal foul for unnecessary roughness while running the ball, when, in a game against he Bills in 1970, he knocked out safety John Pitts with a forearm shot that was more like a right cross.

Offered here is a exemplary white mesh jersey that the bruising fullback wore around 1971-72 in Miami. Exhibiting extensive wear throughout, it presents gorgeous sewn-on numerals, while an aqua tackle twill name is affixed to the back nameplate. The proper "Miami Dolphins exclusivity" and "Sand Knit [size] X Large" tags are in the tail, which completes the all-original Hall of Fame-caliber jersey. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
