1988 Super Bowl XXII Game Used Football. A Super Bowl best remembered as the first NFL Championship game in history to boast an African-American starting quarterback, an opportunity that Doug Williams did not waste. The long-suffering former signal caller for the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers recovered from a ten-point first quarter deficit to pass for four second-quarter touchdowns, three for fifty yards or more, and a fifth on the ground to stun the Denver Broncos. The 'skins would add one more touchdown in the second half to record forty-two unanswered points and complete the blow-out underdog victory.

Presented here is a game used football from that historic contest, and it was originally obtained from former San Diego trainer Sidney Brooks. Exhibiting noticeable wear on the laces, it displays a faded signature from the game's MVP, which is personalized "To Sid". Notarized letter of provenance from Sidney Joseph Brooks Jr. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
