1959 University of Arkansas Razorbacks Team Signed Football. Considered one of the finest teams ever to take the field in Fayetteville, the 1959 team rolled to a fourteen to seven Gator Bowl win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, earning a share of the Southwest Conference title. That team, and that historic win that snapped Georgia Tech's six-bowl game winning streak, are commemorated here with a football signed by forty-five members of the team, most notably famed coach Frank Broyles, All-American Jim Mooty, Lance Alworth and Barry Switzer. All autographs remain as dark and bold as the day they were signed, though a couple panels apparently once got a bit wet, causing some of the ink to bleed slightly. As the photographs will show, this factor does little to detract from the visual appeal. "Arkansas 1959" and "Gator Bowl" are expertly painted on either side of the ball's lacing. The odds of ever finding another opportunity to own this special college ball are slim indeed. LOA from PSA/DNA.Auction Info
