1987 Reggie White NFL Players Association Defensive Lineman of the Year Award. During the 1987 season, Reggie White terrorized opposing quarterbacks by tallying a staggering 21 sacks. How's that for a stat that would impress even the most critical gridiron number cruncher? Impressive to say the least, but it's almost unbelievable when taking into consideration that he set that record during the shortened strike season in only 12 games. That 1.75 sacks per game average helped propel the "Minister of Defense" to earning the 1987 Defensive Player of the Year award, by the vote of his fellow NFC players. Offered here that very award, which is as beautiful as it is significant. The 8.75x16" plaque portrays Reggie's portrait and the NFLPA logo on two separate copper colored plates. A wood border, which exhibits moderate wear completes this fabulous piece, representing arguably the best defensive player in league history.
