1966-68 Brian Piccolo Game Issued Chicago Bears Jersey. Football may seem rough and tumble, but the name Brian Piccolo can make even have grittiest gridiron fan reduced to tears. Piccolo backed up Gayle Sayers for five years before succumbing to cancer in 1970. Presented here is a white Bears tear away jersey that was issued by the team between 1966-68, and it was originally obtained straight out of the Bears storage room by a man named Jack Wallin.

Letter of provenance from Wallin is included, but we are unable to verify that Piccolo used this actual jersey, as the neck is white instead of the Bears' standard navy blue. Exhibiting minimal wear throughout, it has a King O'Shea size 44 tag in the tail. Letter of provenance from Jack Wallin (notarized in 1979). LOA from Heritage Auctions. LOA from MEARS, A8 (attributes jersey to Brian Piccolo).
