1960's Kansas City Chiefs Game Worn Helmet. The Kansas City Chiefs have a long and respected history. Lamar Hunt made sure of that. Worn by one of the men who donned the fire engine red Chiefs jersey is this helmet - circa late 1960's or early '70's. Following the helmet's use, it was stripped down and passed on to a collector. The red shell sports a few contact marks and has period team logos on the sides. Extra large leather jaw pads are installed inside. The suspension padding has been removed and "Kansas City" is written in vintage marker. The mask originates from the early '70's while the clips were added even later. A perfect remembrance to the "early days" of the Chiefs. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
