    Description

1959 Alan Ameche Baltimore Colts NFL Championship Rolex Watch. Best remembered for winning the Heisman Trophy as a star fullback with the Wisconsin Badgers in 1954, Alan Ameche also holds a significant place in sports history for scoring the winning touchdown in the 1958 NFL Championship Game, often cited as "The Greatest Game Ever Played." Presented to the four-time Pro Bowler for his role in the 1959 NFL Championship Game, this 14 karat yellow gold "Rolex Bombe" model watch presents the team's logo in the center, and "1959 World Champion Baltimore Colts" is noted at the perimeter of the dial. The band consists of 9 karat gold, while the watch remains in perfect working order. "ALAN AMECHE 35" has been lightly engraved on the dial's rear, while its reference number is "6590" and case number is "466266". Presented to each Colts '59 championship member, instead of a presentational ring, this gorgeous timepiece will be sure to stand out in any high-end gridiron collection.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
