    Description

1935-2001 Sugar Bowl Programs Near-Complete Run of 67. Often deciding the national championship, the Sugar Bowl (and the Orange Bowl) is the second oldest college football bowl game.

This amazing run spans the first sixty-seven Sugar Bowls from 1935-2001. The only years which are missing are 1994, 1995 (first game), and 1997. Also, there are two programs each for the games played in 1936 and 1988. The condition of the programs in this lot is outstanding, with an overall grade of EX-MT. The inaugural Sugar Bowl program from 1935, and one of the two exemplars from 1936 are both in remarkable condition.

Notes: (1) Because of year scheduling changes, there were two games played in 1972 and 1995, and no game played in 1976 and 1996; (2) There were nine programs which contained doubloons. In the programs from 1969-72 (first)-72 (second)-75-77-78, the doubloons are still present. In the programs from 1970-71-74, the doubloons no longer present; and (3) Lot also includes a ticket stub from the 1979 game.
