1923 Notre Dame Football Team Signed Yearbook, With Rockne and the Four Horsemen. Joe Bach was one of the famed "seven mules," of Notre Dame, and later became an NFL coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Offered here is Bach's personal 1923 Notre yearbook, featuring one of the most comprehensive collections of 1920's Notre Dame football signatures that we have ever handled, including many players from Notre Dame's 1924 National Championship team squad. Legendary head coach Knute Rockne presents an absolutely beautiful black fountain pen signature under his full-page photograph presentation, which leads off "The Dome's" athletics section. Also included are signatures from the "Four Horsemen," Harry Stuhldreher, Don Miller, Elmer Layden and Jim Crowley, and each of their near perfect signatures, including Rockne's, are on separate pages, which is music to the ears of the collector who enjoys maximizing an item's displayability. The following additional signatures are also featured in this truly one-of-a-kind artifact (typical binding separation and moderate wear throughout): Rev. Matthew Walsh (man who officially adopted "Fighting Irish" as Notre Dame's official nickname in 1927), Rev. Thomas Irving (VP of the school), Frank McDermitt, Michael Frank Seyfrit, James Wilcox, Forrest Cotton (signed twice), Glenn Carberry (signed twice), George Vergara, Gene Mayl, Paul Castner, Adam Walsh, Chuck Collins, Rip Miller, Doc Connell, Tom Lieb (signed twice), Harvey Brown, John Weibel (one of the "Seven Mules," who blocked for the "Four Horsemen" - died in 1931), Red Maher, Jerry Miller and others. We guarantee there will never be a piece comparable to this unique find. Signatures exhibit extremely superior quality and the personalities featured are one of the most impressive collections ever put together on one Notre Dame piece. A marvelous relic for the vintage football collector who has it all. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
