1920 "Corpse and Coffin" Syracuse Orangemen Most Valuable Player Trophy Presented to Joseph "Doc" Alexander. An esteemed member of the College Football Hall of Fame, Syracuse star Doc Alexander went on to play professionally with the Syracuse Pros, Rochester Jeffersons and New York Giants in the 1920's. Offered here is a gorgeous "Corpse and Coffin" trophy that was presented to Alexander in 1920 for being named Syracuse's Most Valuable Player. Measuring at 10" in height, the heavily tarnished silver plated showpiece displays nicely, while the back engraving reads "Awarded to Joseph Alexander The most valuable member of the team season 1920."
