1958 Topps Football Cello Pack PSA NM 7 With Jim Brown Rookie on Top! A dozen years ago the hobby was introduced to a starting find of unopened 1958 Topps football cello packs via an episode of the PSA hit series "Antiques Roadshow" which aired the appraisal of these packs in 2006. It has been seven years since Heritage Auctions has had the opportunity to offer a selection of packs from this find to its clients. The majority were auctioned but the family held onto a small sampling as keepsakes. We thank them for deciding to now put up for auction their holdings. The market couldn't be more ripe than now to present a collection of unopened packs from the late 1950's.

Offered is what has to be the crown jewel of the entire find. The 1958 Topps rookie card of the greatest NFL running back to ever don shoulder pads shows on top and what a colorful and close to perfectly centered example it is! At the time, Jim Brown was fresh out of Syracuse University when he signed with the Cleveland Browns. He would call Cleveland home for the entire length of his career. His rookie card is one of the most important football cards of the 1950's and the entire football card universe. When one becomes available, bidding is spirited regardless of the condition. Bragging rights are guaranteed for the lucky Brown fan owning an example that never saw public distribution nor ever touched by human hands thanks to the intact plastic wrapper. The pack has been graded PSA NM 7. The back card is card #70 featuring Detroit Lions HoFer Jack Christiansen. We can easily claim the supply will never meet demand. An absolutely superb find with unquestionable history.
