1948 Leaf Bob Waterfield #26 SGC 96 Mint 9 - Pop One, the Highest SGC Example! It's hard to pick a standout talent for Bob Waterfield as he seemed to excel at almost every position. He was a star quarterback from 1945 to 1952. In 1949 he and a rookie named Norm Van Brocklin took the Los Angeles Rams to three consecutive league championship games in 1949, 1950 and 1951. During his career he intercepted 20 passes and as a kicker amassed 60 field goals. He is most known for his skills as a quarterback. Waterfield's lifetime passing completion percentage is 50.7% with 97 touchdowns.

His rookie card appeared in the Leaf and Bowman issues of 1948. As the lone "full color" rookie, his Leaf rookie is by the more attractive and encountered less often. Leaf was prone to with their '48 promotion, this is a variation where his name is printed in Black. What an incredible example it is! If this card fails to impress you, no card ever will. The colors, surfaces, borders, corners and centering are all at or a hairline away for the perfection. This condition rarity is a near perfect gem! The single best graded card in the population report from a sampling of 60 examples! Graded SGC 96 Mint 9. This is currently the finest example in an SGC holder.
