2017 Panini National Treasures Patrick Mahomes II (Rookie Patch Autograph-Green Jersey Number) #161 BGS Mint 9, Auto 10 - #'d 4/15 - Only One Superior! We've always loved limited editions matching the jersey number of a major star, and everybody worships the rookie, so this special rarity instantly caught our eye when our consignor reached out to us. Of course, nobody could have known just how special this card was when it was introduced to the hobby back in 2017, but three Super Bowl appearances, two Super Bowl Championships, two NFL MVP Awards and a half-billion dollar contract have added mountains of context since then.That massive investment made by the Kansas City Chiefs in a future with Mahomes at the helm is likely to inspire plenty of trading card collectors to follow suit, so we expect plenty of action on this lot as the clock counts down to hammer time. It's a real beauty of a card, with a tri-color jersey patch from a rookie gamer sharing space with a perfect blue sharpie signature from the young megastar. Only a single example has ever earned a higher rating from the experts at Beckett. Graded BGS Mint 9. Subgrades Centering 9, Corners 9.5, Edges 9, Surface 8.5.
