2001 Upper Deck SP Authentic Drew Brees (Sign of the Times-Gold) Rookie #DBr PSA Gem Mint 10 - #'d 18/25. After twenty seasons in the NFL, numerous records, winning Super Bowl XLIV and the hearts the entire city of New Orleans, Drew Brees hung up his cleats in 2020. Brees was drafted by the San Diego Chargers with the first pick in the second round of the 2001 Draft. After five years with San Diego and a torn throwing shoulder, Brees joined the New Orleans Saints not long after the devastation to the city from Hurricane Katrina. He promptly won the 2006 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award and won the hearts of the people of New Orleans for the extensive charitable work he did in helping New Orleans recover from Hurricane Katrina. Coupled with his miraculous play and charity efforts he earned the nickname "Breesus." He tops the list for career completions (7,142) and most consecutive games with a touchdown pass (54).His rookie cards look to be valued keepsakes of fans and collectors.
