    1977 Topps Mike Haynes #50 PSA Gem Mint 10. The New England Patriots picked corner back Mike Haynes in the first round in the 1976 NFL Draft. From the beginning he showed them they made a wise choice. His rookie season is highlighted by 8 interceptions and over 600 punt return years to lead the AFC including two touchdowns - a first in team history. The honors and awards are impressive. He was a nine time Pro Bowl selection; '84 NEA NFL Defensive Player of the Year; '76 NFL and UPI AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year; 1984 George S. Halas Trophy; Super Bowl XVIII Champion; NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and 1980's All-Decade Team. His #40 is retired by the New England Patriots. His talents awards him election into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1997. This rookie cards from the 1977 Topps series is not rare but the condition certainly is. Graded PSA Gem MT 10, this is one of only five examples from a submission pool of over 325 ranking it in the top 1.5% finest known.
