Description

1965 Topps Joe Namath Rookie #122 PSA NM 7. Joe Namath was growing weary of the press reading about how great the Colts were leading up to the Super Bowl. At one point he said, "Wait a minute, pal, I've got news for you. We're going to win this game. I guarantee it!'." "I got a little hot." Broadway Joe and his underdog Jets did just that, defeating the heavily-favored Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III played at the Orange Bowl in Miami on January 12, 1969. His rookie card, a part of the "tall boy" 1965 Topps football issue, is larger than the norm; not unlike Namath's legacy. Our offered card has great colors, problem-free surfaces and quality corners. No football collector can honestly say this card is not among the top 10 football cards of all-time. Graded PSA NM 7.
