    Description

1965 Topps Joe Namath #122 SGC 84 NM 7. "I got a little hot. All week I read about how great the Colts were and how we didn't belong on the same field with them. I was tired of it. I said, 'Wait a minute, pal, I've got news for you. We're going to win this game. I guarantee it!'." Broadway Joe and his underdog Jets did just that, defeating the heavily-favored Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III played at the Orange Bowl in Miami on January 12, 1969. His rookie card, a part of the "tall boy" 1965 Topps football issue, is larger than the norm; not unlike Namath's legacy. A nice SGC 84 NM 7, this card has great colors and problem-free surfaces. Light corner tip wear and off-center graphics explain the SGC rating.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
