    Description

1965 Topps Joe Namath #122 PSA EX+ 5.5. "I got a little hot. All week I read about how great the Colts were and how we didn't belong on the same field with them. I was tired of it. I said, 'Wait a minute, pal, I've got news for you. We're going to win this game. I guarantee it!'." Broadway Joe and his underdog Jets did just that, defeating the heavily-favored Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III played at the Orange Bowl in Miami on January 12, 1969. His rookie card, as part of the 1965 Topps football issue, is larger than the norm, not unlike Namath's personality and legacy. His performance helped legitimize the AFL which helped force an eventual merger with the more established NFL. Rated for centering and some light tip wear. One of the most important football cards in the hobby. Graded PSA EX+ 5.5.
