1965 Topps Fred Biletnikoff #133 PSA Mint 9 - Pop Three, None Higher! He left Tallahassee owning the Florida State Seminoles records for receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, entering the National Football League in the third round of the 1965 draft. Twenty-three years later, he'd join the bronze brotherhood at Canton as one of the greatest ever to play the professional game. In much the same way that Babe Ruth ushered in the Live Ball Era of Major League Baseball, Biletnikoff was essential in bringing his sport to the skies, shifting the balance of offensive power from a ground concentration to the dynamism of passing. Through his AFL and NFL career, Biletnikoff notched nearly 600 receptions and 9,000 yards, finding paydirt seventy-six times.

The 1965 series is famous for the larger sized "tall boy" format that made for wonderful display but few truly high-grade specimen surviving at the Mint level. Currently, PSA has graced (non-qualified) numeric grades to well over 28, 000 cards. Only one-quarter of one-percent of that population have earned "Mint 9" labels.

Graded PSA Mint 9. This issue seems to have a greater percentage of off-center cards as do other sets. For this alone there are few cards but a lack of storage for the larger sized cards resulted in quickly worn corners and surfaces. After more than 400 submissions of this card, only three have been deemed worthy of being called "MINT."
