Signed 1955 Topps All-American Angelo Bertelli #76 PSA Authentic, PSA/DNA Auto 9. Presented is a 1955 Topps All-American card saluting Notre Dame quarterback Angelo Bertelli. A talented signal-caller and passer, Bertelli was a consensus All-American in 1943, the same season in which he surprisingly won the coveted Heisman Trophy despite not playing the full schedule. Here's how the story goes: During his senior year in 1943, the Marine Corps activated Bertelli after six games of Notre Dame's 10-game season. In the six games he started for the Irish, he threw 36 passes, completing 25 with 10 touchdowns. As it turned out, Bertelli's six-game 1943 performance was still enough to earn him the Heisman Trophy.
