1959 Topps Sam Huff #51 PSA NM-MT 8. Huff was regarded as one of the most influential defensive players of the 1950-1960s era whose presence on the Redskins team was felt almost immediately upon his trade from the NY Giants. From his first appearance in 1956 Huff was a force to be reckoned with as he helped the Giants win five consecutive games finishing with an 8-3-1 record and the Eastern Conference title and '56 NFL Championship. Huff would be the first rookie middle linebacker to start a championship game. Tom Landry's 4-3 defense which changed the way football was played was a system built around him. Offered is his 1959 Topps football card that has been graded PSA NM-MT 8.
