Description

1959 Topps Jim Brown #10 PSA Gem Mint 10 - Pop Two. Widely considered the greatest running back in the history of the National Football League, former Syracuse Orangemen standout Jimmy Brown was the sixth overall draft pick for the 1957, leaving five teams to curse themselves for the foolishness of allowing the Browns to secure his services. Here we present what is arguably the most significant post-war football award to reach the auction block in recent memory, the trophy presented to Brown as the unanimous choice for 1957 Rookie of the Year. With 942 rushing yards, Brown led all NFL running backs in 1957, the first of eight years he would take that checkered flag during his nine-season career. Nine rushing touchdowns was likewise a League-topping figure for that freshman campaign.
His second Topps appearance came as part of the 1959 edition where he is featured on card #10. In keeping with the magic "perfect" number we present one of the two known cards graded PSA Gem MT 10! That comes from a sampling of over 1,300 submissions. A thrill of pulling this cards from a freshly opened wax pack has been the experience of another but adding this seemingly flawless wonder to your collection is no less exciting.
