Description

1958 Topps Jim Brown Rookie #62 PSA NM-MT 8. "Make sure when anyone tackles you he remembers how much it hurts," Brown once advised fellow Syracuse alumnus John Mackey. The legendary running back might not have been the most elusive rusher who ever suited up in the NFL, but he was famous for being the toughest to bring to the ground, his bone-rattling style averaging an outrageous 5.2 yards per carry. He claimed the NFL rushing title in all but one of his nine seasons in the League, and his 1,863 rushing yards in 1963 remains a Cleveland Browns record, the oldest franchise rushing record of all thirty-two teams. This is a particularly tough card to locate in elite condition, but the common flaws with registration and centering are absent here. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. With more than 5,400 PSA submissions, only twelve examples have ever graded higher than NM-MT with no Gem Mint examples!
