Howard "Hopalong" Cassady, the 1955 Heisman Trophy winner, brought his collegiate stardom to the professional ranks as a dynamic back for the Detroit Lions. This 1957 Topps card, #80, marks one of his key early appearances in the hobby, presented in the iconic horizontal format of that debut football set.
