1952 Bowman Small Norman Van Brocklin #1 SGC 88 NM/MT 8. Offered is a high-grade number one card that is one of only two examples to achieve the grade of SGC 88 with none grading higher. Bowman decided to have Hall of Fame quarterback Norm Van Brocklin grace the first card for their 1952 set. This card is notoriously off-centered. When you are lucky enough to find one with equally sized borders then it is usually plagued with the general wear that nearly all #1 cards encountered. Then, if you are able to line up these two characteristics, it will inevitably have a print defect or a wax stain. Well, this card is proof that it can all be found in a single card. The bottom line is that this is a solid Near Mint to Mint card. Great centering, bold colors and exceptional eye appeal.Auction Info
