Description
1950 Topps Felt Back Football Complete Set (100). This is a set that is extremely difficult to find as a complete set in any condition, let alone a very pleasing example, such as this one. This set brought us the Rookie card of the legendary Joe Paterno, along with Doak Walker, Ernie Stautner and Darrell Royal. The cards were comprised of two materials one being the usually cardboard and the later with the felt backs that has a college pennant on the reverse. These cards measure a mere 1 7/16" by 7/8". A total of 15 cards have been graded by PSA with an aggregate SMR value of $1,595. Highlights include: Graded Cards - PSA EX-MT 6: 4 cards w/ Boldin/brown, Dooney, Kuhn and Makowski; PSA EX 5: 6 cards w/ Dublinski, Friedlund, Hagan, Lee/brown, Mathews/yellow and Zinaich/yellow; PSA VG-EX 4: 4 cards w/ Davis, Laun, Royal/brown and Walker/brown; PSA VG 3: 1 card, Paterno.
