1955 Topps Roberto Clemente Rookie #164 SGC VG 3. Roberto Clemente, a Hall of Famer and one of the most revered players in Major League history, combined elite hitting, defense, and arm strength over an 18-season career with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He finished with exactly 3,000 hits, a .317 lifetime batting average, 240 home runs, 1,305 RBI, 15 National League All-Star selections, four NL batting titles, and 12 Gold Gloves. He was as complete a player as any manager could ever hope to have in his lineup. Card #164 from the 1955 Topps set is Clemente's official rookie and one of the most iconic and sought-after cards of the postwar era. This card captures the beginning of a legendary career and remains a cornerstone for serious collectors. His untimely death at age 38 sent shockwaves through the baseball community.
