Description

1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig #92 PSA VG-EX 4. Hall of Fame first baseman Lou Gehrig earned the nickname "The Iron Horse" by virtue of anchoring the New York Yankees lineup from 1925 to 1939, a timeframe in which he recorded an improbable streak of playing in 2,130 consecutive games. It helped define his legend and sat unbroken until 1995 when Baltimore Orioles HOFer Cal Ripken Jr. surpassed it.

Offered is Gehrig's 1933 Goudey card (#92), a key prewar gum card that captures him in mid-swing against the bold, colorful artwork that makes this landmark 1933 Goudey release so beloved in the hobby. It's one of two different cards saluting Gehrig in the set. As one of the most sought-after Gehrig cards from his playing days, this issue stands as a cornerstone piece for advanced vintage baseball collections. Graded PSA VG-EX 4.
