1965 Topps Joe Morgan - Astros Rookie Stars #16 PSA NM-MT+ 8.5. Before he became the steady engine behind Cincinnati's "Big Red Machine" from the 1970s, second sacker Joe Morgan made his hobby debut on the 1965 Topps Astros Rookies card (#16), upon he shares the spotlight with shortstop teammate Sonny Jackson. This important rookie issue in the '65 Topps release captures "Little Joe" at the outset of his Hall of Fame career that would redefine second base with his blend of patience, power, speed, and defense. The card carries the distinctive 1965 Topps design, highlighted by team pennants and clean dual imagery that give it a strong visual identity among mid-1960s rookies.
