Period-Signed 1954 Bowman Ted Williams #66 PSA Fair 1.5 (MK), PSA/DNA Auto 8 - From The Golden Age Collection. Ted Williams, a six-time American League batting champ, captivated fans with his precision at the plate and deep understanding of the art of hitting. A prolific hitter, he finished his Hall of Fame career for the Boston Red Sox with 2,654 base knocks to his name. He had a lifetime .344 batting average, and a .482 on-base percentage-the highest in MLB history.Card #66 from the 1954 Bowman set is a rare and historically significant issue, pulled early from production due to contractual conflicts, making it one of the most sought-after postwar cards. This card stands as both a tribute to his legendary status and a key rarity in the vintage collecting world. What's more is that it boasts a period-signed autograph from the "Splendid Splinter" himself in blue ink across the front. Graded PSA Fair 1.5 (MK) with a certified PSA/DNA Auto 8.
