Years after stepping out of the ring, Gene Tunney set aside his gloves and picked up a pen to sign his autobiography a hardcover copy (5.5" x 8.5" x 1.5") of A Man Must Fight bearing a knockout "Gene Tunney" ("10") black fountain pen signature, personalized "To Al Briggs- Hold Everything, don't drop your guard".The book was published in 1932 by Houghton Mifflin Company. The 288-page tome presents at the overall EX/NMT plateau with age-appropriate toning and minor binding deterioration.
