Description

1985 Mike Tyson Signed First Professional Bout Program. It all began at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, New York on March 6, 1985, where an eighteen-year old Mike Tyson took just less than a round to record his first victory, by knockout, of course. Intriguingly, he shared the fight card with "Irish" Kevin Rooney, who would become Tyson's trainer under the legendary Cus D'Amato. Tyson signs the cover in 10/10 red marker with a personalization to a female fan. Inner scoresheet is marked "TKO" for Tyson's victory. This is the first example we've encountered, signed or otherwise. Program has three horizontal fold lines and exhibits very minor foxing, but is otherwise free of any noteworthy faults.
