Description

1975 Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier III ("A Thrilla in Manilla") On-Site Program. The forty-eight years and seven thousand miles that separate the historic "A Thrilla in Manila" from modern day America have conspired to make the presented on-site program a tremendously rare find for collectors. Here we offer one of the few remaining examples that was on hand to witness this brutal, grueling battle between two of the greatest Heavyweights of the post-war era. "It was like death," the victorious Ali told reporters after Frazier's trainer Eddie Futch threw in the towel to protect his fighter, almost completely blinded by the swelling around his eyes. "Closest thing to dyin' that I know of."

Completely intact with solid binding, the only distractions include minor writing on front cover, some spotting on front and back covers, and mild bending from handling. Despite these distractions, it still survived the contest in far superior condition than the boxers. ESPN's Sports Century ranked the bout as the fifth greatest sporting event of all time. One of modern boxing's most coveted rarities.
