Description

Circa 2000 Muhammad Ali "I Shook Up The World" Original Artwork by Bill Weldon. Acclaimed sports artist William Weldon's passion for boxing and Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali, inspired him to capture "moments in time" from The Greatest's most iconic bouts, versus Liston, Frazier and Foreman, in oversized oil on canvas master works.

Massive painting depicts Ali celebrating in the ring after defeating Sonny Liston in 1964 to become the heavyweight champion of the world. Drew Bundini Brown hugs the new champ as he screams out into the crowd. This was the moment when Ali proclaimed "I shook up the world! I must be the greatest!" Signed by the artist at the bottom right. Matted and framed to the dimensions of 42.75x39.5" (35x32" visible in frame). Letter of provenance from Troy Kinunen.
