    Description

Circa 1905 Jack Johnson Glass Plate Negative. Exceptional rarity dates from the years prior to this boxing legend's ascension to the World Championship. Born Arthur John, the first black Heavyweight Champion fought his early days under the name "Li'l Arthur," a name found at the bottom of this fine portrait negative. This early look at the most feared and despised pugilist of the twentieth century measures 3x4" in size and could be used to print photos of almost unlimited size. Some light wear at the edges does not affect the image area.
